- House Bill 2301, P.N. 3200 OPPOSE - (Turzai) Workers' Comp
Changes the requirements for submitting to a medical exam after 104 weeks from within 60 days to anytime to determine degree of impairment.
- House Bill 2440, P.N. 4222 OPPOSE - (Fleagle) Unemployment Comp
Changes the appeal process. If you are unable to attend - you lose. Our members could be affected by this - example: If they have just returned to work at a new job. It does allow you to appeal.
- House Bill 1321, P.N. 4283 FAVOR - The Comcast Bill
At the request of Pat Gillespie and the Philadelphia Building trades. Allows for the TIFF zone in downtown Philadelphia to construct a new office building and also will allow the rebuilding of the Food Distribution Center in South Philadelphia - creating @ 8,000 construction jobs. CWA and SEIU and the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO are opposing this bill.

- Senate Bill 1214, P.N. 1865 NO POSITION - (Tartaglione) Minimum Wage
Providing an increase in minimum wage.
- House Bill 2942, P.N. 4601 OPPOSE - (Boyd) The Apprenticeship and
Training Act
Creates a ratio of apprentice to journeyperson of one to one. Joe Sellers, as a member of the Apprenticeship and Training Council spoke about the Council's activities, including the need to have our members replace some of the current members whose terms will be expiring.
