One of the most enduring ways that we can all build for the future is to maintain a meaningful Scholarship Program for the sons and daughters of the people in our Industry.

Any group of people who desire to achieve greatness must have a sense of pride that comes from within. We believe that one way to promote this sense of pride is through a scholarship program.

This program is now a reality, and the Awards are determined by the Scholarship Committee.

SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE:
The Executive Committee of the Greater Pennsylvania Regional Council of Carpenters shall also serve as the Scholarship Committee for the William R. Waterkotte Memorial Scholarship and the Central PA Scholarship.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS:
The William R. Waterkotte Memorial Scholarship will offer $l,000.00 financial aid for up to four (4) years.

The Central PA Scholarship will offer $l,000.00 financial aid for up to four (4) years.

THE RULES:
High School Seniors enrolled in public or private schools who will graduate in the year the application is made, who are sons, daughters, legal dependents, or individuals sponsored by members of Local Unions affiliated with the Greater Pennsylvania Regional Council of Carpenters shall be eligible.

A scholarship winner shall use the proceeds of the scholarship to defray the expenses of attending a School of Engineering, Architecture or Labor Studies at any University as a full-time student. Each scholarship shall be awarded for one year with the awards made payable to the selected applicant, but will be deposited with the School of Engineering, Architecture or Labor Studies at a University after acceptance for admission. Applicants shall submit a completed application and resume within the specified time limits along with the additional information specified in Item E of the application.
