The
Bulldog has become the mascot of our Organization Program. The unyielding
image adorns T-shirts and hardhat stickers. Some assume it is an attempt
to intimidate; others look at it as an image of strength. We imagine
in some cases those were the reasons for its use, but in our Union,
we choose the Bulldog because it represents STAYING POWER.
The
Bulldog is successful in its endeavors because it refuses to let go.
It sinks its teeth into a project and holds on until it has won. The
Carpenters' Union will be successful in its organizing efforts for the
same reason.
