Heavy Highway and Railroad Carpenters
The Greater Pennsylvania Heavy Highway and Railroad Carpenters Joint Apprenticeship and Training Program will be accepting applications for Carpenter Apprentices in their 2012 Apprenticeship Program. Applications will be available every Wednesday 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM from December 7, 2011 through March 28, 2012 at the Carpenters Training Center, 652 Ridge Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15205. Applications will be electronically completed at the Pittsburgh Training Center; applicants will schedule a date to return for testing. Applicants who live more then 60 miles from the Pittsburgh Training Center will be permitted to call to make an appointment in order to apply and test on the same day. Final selection will be made according to the needs within the five (5) Districts of Greater Pennsylvania covered by this Apprenticeship Program, and will be made prior to April 20, 2012 District No. 1 District No. 2 District No. 3 District No. 4 District No. 5
This is a training opportunity and the Joint Apprenticeship committee and its Trustees do not, and cannot guarantee employment. Employment, when available, will be through Carpenters Local 2274’s referral system as provided for in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The Heavy Highway and Railroad Carpenters Joint Apprenticeship and Training Program operates on a nondiscriminatory basis as outlined under Executive Order No. 11246, as amended and Chapter 30, Title 29 and under the Program’s Affirmative Action Program.
