The Carpenters’ Joint Apprenticeship Committee of
Greater Pennsylvania will be accepting applications for
Commercial, Residential, Floorcoverer, Millwright, Millcabinet, Piledrivers and Heavy Highway Carpenters, beginning November 1, 2011 at:

APPLICATIONS MUST BE COMPLETED IN PERSON.
APPLICANTS WILL BE TOLD WHEN TO RETURN FOR TESTING.
APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
- Be at least 17 years old. (persons who will graduate by June 2011 are eligible to apply).
- Be a high school graduate or hold a G.E.D. certificate.
- Be physically capable of performing the work of the trade.
- Have a valid driver's license and suitable transportation.
- Indicate interest, desire and willingness to learn.
- Be available for full time employment if accepted into the Program.
- A non-refundable processing fee of $25.00 payable by CHECK, CASH, MONEY ORDER, DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD at the time of application..
- Applicants must reside in one of the following counties; Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Clarion, Clearfield, Crawford, Erie, Fayette, Forest, Greene, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, Warren, Washington & Westmoreland. (Certain sections of Indiana, McKean, Potter & Somerset, which are closer to the Pittsburgh Training Center may apply in Pgh.)
- Pile Driver applicants from the following counties in West Virginia; Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Preston, Wetzel and Monongalia and in the Ohio counties of Colombiana and Jefferson are also eligible.
- Upon receiving an offer of apprenticeship, the applicant will be required to pay a portion of the cost of a physical examination by a doctor or doctors selected by the Committee (which will include testing for substance abuse).
- This is a training opportunity; The Joint Apprenticeship Committee or its Board of Trustees DOES NOT AND CAN NOT guarantee full time employment. Employment, when available, will be through the Greater PA Regional Council of Carpenters as provided for in the Collective Bargaining Agreements.
- The recruitment, selection and employment of apprentices during their apprenticeship shall be without discrimination because of age, color, race, religion, national origin, sex, or non-job related disabilities.
