The Carpenters' Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee
(CJATC) oversees the operation of the Carpenter's Training Center
at Ridge Road (Pittsburgh), Scranton, Lebanon and Gallitzin.
Apprentice and Journeyman training are the keys to the quality
of the work produced by our members. The Apprenticeship Program
offers a four-year program in the area of carpentry--commercial,
residential and heavy construction. Additionally, separate programs
exist for floor laying, cabinet making, and mill working. You
can also become a pile driver or a millwright. In the program,
safety and professional skills are emphasized. To be accepted
in the program, interested applicants must pass certain testing
requirements. Please look for more information on the training
program in the near future.
