What We Stand For INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD Our goals are . . . 1.To organize all carpenters so they can have a unified voice in the workplace. 2.To encourage training programs for a higher standard of skill, productivity and quality on the job. 3.To develop, improve and enforce safe/clean working conditions. 4.To cultivate friendship among workers and help improve our communities. 5.To assist each other to secure employment. 6.To reduce the hours of daily labor so we can rest on the weekend. 7.To secure adequate pay for our labor and establish a weekly payday. 8.To promote fringe benefits containing family healthcare coverage and pension for retirement. 9.To take wages out of the competition for jobs, so they are not based on who will work for less. 10.To elevate the moral, intellectual and social conditions for all carpenters. |
