......-Findlay Connector, part of the Southern Beltway Projects, runs on
...... new alignment from PA 60 to PA 22. Project will be let in three
...... sections starting this fall. The location is through old strip mines and
...... will require coordination with the FAA for work at the northern end near
...... the Greater Pittsburgh Airport. Construction estimate is $175 million.

......- The Uniontown to Brownsville section design is underway and should
....... be completed in 2 years. Money has been allotted to complete design,
....... and Right of Way acquisition. Money is currently not available for
....... construction. Construction estimate is $400 million.

......- The PA 51 to Pittsburgh section design is under way. Record of
....... Decision should come in September 2003. Money has been allotted
....... to complete design, and Right of Way acquisition. This is the most
....... needed and most challenging section of the project. Construction cost
....... estimate is $1.4 billion. Construction funding has yet to be identified.

......- The Southern Beltway is a 30-mile corridor of new alignment. In
....... addition to the Findlay Connector, there are two other projects, from
....... PA 22 to I-79 and from I-79 to the Mon/Fayette. Records of Decision
....... for these two projects should come in 2005.
